An “alpine” experience: the challenging course of the climbing trail leads through the top vineyards “Erdener Treppchen” and “Prälat”. Via old vineyard paths and ladders, you climb up rocky outcrops and vineyard terraces. Your efforts will be rewarded with magnificent views over the Mosel valley and a particularly colorful variety of flora and fauna such as stonecrop, gold lacquer and French maple.
The Erden via ferrata is divided into three levels of difficulty. You can choose whether you want to hike the green (2.9 km), yellow (3.8 km) or red (4.3 km) route. The respective colors are signposted throughout.
