1. Purpose and Legal Framework
We actively strive to make our website accessible to all people, regardless of physical or technical conditions. The basis for this is the requirements of the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG), which is based on EU Directive 2019/882, as well as the technical standard EN 301 549.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA, serve as the benchmark for implementation.
2. Accessibility Status
Our website is largely accessible and meets many of the requirements of WCAG 2.1 AA. However, some barriers still exist, particularly with embedded third-party systems and dynamic content.
3. Non-accessible Content
The following content or features are currently not fully accessible:
Third-party widgets
e.g., booking systems, maps, or appointment scheduling (e.g., iframe-based integrations). These are sometimes not operable with screen readers or by keyboard and may not provide sufficient alternative text.
PDF documents
Older files do not fully comply with accessibility standards (e.g., missing heading structure or alternative text).
Diagrams and complex graphics
Partially without textual description or keyboard accessibility.
Contrasts and controls
In some cases, color contrast or focus state may be insufficient.
Some content comes from external service providers over whom we have no direct influence on accessibility. However, we strive to provide alternatives or replacement solutions.
4. Testing Procedure
The accessibility of this website was tested in 2025 during development by our agency, taking current accessibility standards into account. The basis of the testing was WCAG 2.1, conformance level AA, and the requirements of EN 301 549. Central usage scenarios were analyzed – including navigation, structure, form handling, contrasts, and use with keyboard and screen reader. Automated testing tools and manual tests by specialists were used.
5. Planned Improvements
We are continuously working to optimize accessibility. The following measures are planned:
- Replacement or conversion of non-accessible PDF files
- Replacement of inaccessible third-party components with accessible alternatives
- Expansion of alternative text for complex content
- Additional testing with screen readers and assistive technologies
- Application & optimization of forms for tab navigation
- Compatibility with screen reading functions
- High and low contrast levels
